How to Register

Registering with Tara Martin Dental Care couldn't be easier!

All you need to do is call us on 01407 764599 to make an appointment for a registration examination with one of our Dentists.

This examination takes 30 minutes and costs £50.00.  The exam includes a thorough examination of your teeth, mouth and gums and a full set of small x-rays, if necessary.

What if I need treatment?

If the Dentist diagnoses that further treatment is needed, we will give you a full written treatment plan, with costs.  We will then arrange further appointments for you to have the treatment carried out, at your pace.  At no time will treatment be completed without your full knowledge, understanding and consent.

How can I pay for my treatment?

Payments can be made by one of the following methods - debit or credit card, personal cheque or cash.  We also offer finance packages.

What if I need immediate treatment?

During your examination, if the Dentist finds that you need immediate treatment, she will tell you.  You can then decide whether you want to have the treatment or continue with the exam.

Emergencies

What is considered to be an emergency appointment?

Usually an emergency case is based on severe pain not responding to painkillers, bleeding, swelling, sharp edge cutting the tongue or cheek, or a missing front tooth.

If you have a dental emergency, please contact the practice on 01407 764599

We will always endeavor to see a patient in pain on the same day although you may be asked to come and sit in the waiting room if no specific appointment time can be allocated at short notice.

If you require emergency treatment outside surgery hours, please telephone the practice.  Our answering machine message will then give you the telephone number for the Out of Hours Emergency Service.  When you call this number, you will be given a telephone number to speak to the On Call Dentist about your symptoms.  Anyone phoning the out of hours service will be assessed over the telephone before the Dentist agrees to come out to the Practice to treat them, depending on the urgency. With non urgent cases, the dentist reserves the right to request treatment is provided during normal working hours.

It should be noted that the Out of Hours Emergency Service is only open to registered patients of the practice, their family or a visiting relative or close friend. On weekdays the service runs from 6.00pm - 8.00pm and on weekends and bank holidays from 9.00 a.m. - 1.00 p.m.
