Are you accepting new patients?
Yes, we are currently welcoming new patients to Tara Martin Dental Care.
Whether you are looking for a new dentist, have recently moved to the area, have not visited a dentist for some time or simply feel it is time for a change, our friendly team will be happy to welcome you to the practice.Please contact us to arrange your first appointment or to ask any questions before booking.
What happens at my first appointment?
Your first appointment gives us the opportunity to get to know you and understand what you would like from your dental care.
We will discuss your dental and medical history, any concerns you have and your previous experiences of dental treatment. Your dentist will then carry out a thorough examination of your teeth, gums and overall oral health. X-rays may also be recommended where clinically necessary.
If any treatment is required, we will explain our findings and discuss the options available to you, including the likely costs, so that you can make an informed decision about your care.
How much is a new-patient appointment?
Our current fee for a new patient consultation is £90
What if I am nervous about the dentist?
Please tell us – you certainly won't be the only one.
We understand that visiting the dentist can be difficult for some people, particularly if you have had an unpleasant experience in the past or have not attended for several years.
Our team will listen to your concerns without judgement and can take your appointment at a pace that feels manageable. We can explain what we are doing as we go and agree on a signal if you would like us to stop at any point.
For patients with more significant dental anxiety, we can also discuss additional options that may help, including conscious sedation where appropriate.
Do you offer Practice Plans?
Yes. We offer Practice Plans designed to help you spread the cost of your routine dental care through regular monthly payments.
Depending on the plan you choose, this can include regular dental examinations and hygiene appointments, as well as additional benefits.
